  2. I know Dr Arivarasan since my school days, later our association continued in medical school as well. Yes, we did medicine together at madras medical college (1998 – 2003). Dr Arivarasan is currently working as assistant professor at University of Pittsburg, USA.
He is generally not so active on social platform, but during this difficult times owing to covid 19, when we were discussing about personal portective equipments (PPE) in our mbbs batch whatsapp group about its need and shortage in developing countries like India. He suddenly appeared on screen and kept a message about his new venture called care beyond borders (CBB). He asked to let him know if any of us would need PPE.
Then I spoke to him, congratulated him for this fantastic initiative of procuring PPE for the needy ones in India. I told about my requirement of 100 N95 masks and asked about payment details. I was stunned when he said that he along with his friends are doing this on a charity basis and hence no need for money. Despite lock down and difficulties in transportation, it got delivered to me through a local agency in chennai. It's amazing to see that many like minded people have joined together to tackle our battle against covid 19
Its heartening to see my best friend Dr Arivarasan is doing this humongous work during this critical period.
I sincerely salute him for this noble work!! He has truly inspired me
I wish him and CBB all the success.
    Jai hind
    Regards
    Prabu Baskaran
