Phase 1 distributions CBB phase 1 campaign included deliveries of over 8500 masks (including over 1500 KN95 respirators, 1000 reusable surgical masks, and 6000 disposable 3-ply surgical masks) directly to doctors and healthcare personnel working at primary health centers, rural hospitals, government hospitals, cancer institutes, eye clinics, respiratory medicine units, children’s hospital, medical colleges, outpatient clinics, and university hospitals. As shown in the image from the top left - Dr. Revathi Madhubalan from the primary health center in Kullanchavadi received 150 KN95 masks and 1000 surgical masks. Dr. Davasunmani from the Attur government hospital received 100 KN95 respirators and 100 surgical masks. Dr. Reghupathy from the Theni government Hospital received 50 KN95 masks and 500 surgical masks. Dr. Kalai Chelvan's team from Erode received 50 KN95 masks and 100 surgical masks. CBB aids shortage of beds - need of the hour!

In light of increasing COVID-19 cases, most health care centers found themselves in a huge need of beds.  Adapting to the needs, CBB collaborated with Safe Corrugated Containers Private Limited - who designed innovative paper-based beds using proprietary paper honeycomb and corrugation technologies.  The bed weighs around 13 kg and can comfortably sleep patients weighing up to 150 Kg. It is designed to handle associated impact loads while transferring the patient on and off the bed. Currently, the beds have been dispatched to eight PHCs (primary health care centers) in Vadalur, Kurinjipadi, and Vridhachalam.
